Belmullet Church of Ireland was designed by Joseph Welland in 1843 and is built of local granite stone, the same as Blacksod Lighthouse on the Mullet Peninsula.

A plot designated as a "Commonwealth War Grave" features a collection of standardised headstones marking the plots of troops washed ashore from the "SS Arandora Star" torpedoed in 1940, off County Donegal during the Second World War.

The Church was in use up until the 1980's, but has since fallen into disrepair.

Photos and description of this graveyard were kindly provided by Veronica Reilly.
