Holy Trinity Church Headstones, Achill Sound

This small protestant graveyard was originally attached to the Holy Trinity Church in Achill Sound, but the church was deconsecrated and sold a few years ago and has since been converted to a private residence (top photo).  Over the years, the graveyard has become overgrown with the invasive Rhododendrons that have spread across Achill Island.  Recently, the graveyard has been partially cleared so that some of the graves can now be accessed, including the war graves area (bottom photo).

The Robins grave enclosed by the rusty iron railings has no legible headstone remaining and was identified by memory of the caretaker.
