The Presbyterian Ballinglen church and graveyard are overgrown and hidden from view in a small copse in a beautiful and eerie setting beside the Ballinglen river, about half a mile south of Ballycastle. The current church was built about 1865 to replace the original church built in 1850 but damaged by fire in 1864. Several large trees are now growing inside the church which was closed in 1959, and the most recent recorded burial date is 1962. Click here for more information on the church.
